Wilson Street Surgery is committed to making our premises as accessible as possible for all patients, visitors and carers. We recognise that people have different levels of mobility and access needs, and we aim to provide a safe, welcoming and inclusive environment.
Step Free Access
All three sites offer step-free entrances and ground floor facilities.
At Wilson Street Surgery, five clinical rooms are upstairs and accessible only by stairs. But a ground floor clinical room is reserved for patients unable to use the stairs, please notify us when booking your appointment if needed.
Taddington Road Surgery is single storey with full step free access.
St. Thomas Road Surgery has step-free ground floor access and a lift to the first floor.
Parking
Designated disabled parking bays are available near the entrance at all 3 sites.
Toilets
Accessible toilet facilities are available at all 3 sites including:
- Grab rails
- Emergency pull cords
- Space for wheelchair access
Interpreters and Foreign Languages
We can arrange interpreters for patients whose 1st language is not English. This includes telephone and face-to-face interpreting services.
Please let reception know as early as possible if your need an interpreter so we can book this for you.
British Sign Language
We are also able to arrange a British Sign Language (BSL) interpreter for patient who are deaf or have hearing loss.
Please inform us in advance so we can make to appropriate arrangements.
