Registering with the surgery
When you register, it’s helpful to have your NHS number. You can use the NHS website to find your NHS number.
Outside our Catchment Area?
Patients who live outside our practice boundary may be able to register with Wilson Street Surgery as an out-of-area patient, subject to clinical and practical considerations.
Please be aware that if you choose to register as an out-of-area patient:
- We cannot provide home visits to addresses outside our practice boundary.
- If a home visit or urgent face-to-face assessment is needed, you may be directed to NHS 111 or another local NHS service near your home address.
- If you require regular home visits in the future, you may be advised to register with a GP practice closer to where you live.
By registering and remaining registered as an out-of-area patient, you acknowledge and accept that Wilson Street Surgery is unable to provide home visiting services to your home address.
Important: Important
Out-of-area registration is not suitable for everyone. We recommend registering with a local GP practice if you have health conditions that may require regular home visits or rapid access to community-based services.
