Use this page to learn how to book a blood test as well as how to view your results when they come back.

Booking a Blood Test

Book your blood test easily online:

If you can’t book online, call 01332 332 628 and our reception team will assist you.

You must bring your blood test form to your appointment.

Request an email copy here, or ask reception to print one if needed.

Getting your Test Results

The easiest way to get your test results is to download the NHS app or register for SystmOnline.

Your test results will be visible after they have been reviewed by the clinician who requested them.

If you results are abnormal, we will contact you to arrange a follow up appointment. If they are normal, we will not routinely contact you.

Alternatively, you can call us on 01332 332 628 after 11am.

Important: Please Note

We are only able to provide copies of test results our clinicians have request. If you are chasing results request by a clinician at the hospital, you will need to contact them directly.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

How long will it take for my results to come back?
  • Blood Tests: Up to 7 days.
  • Scans: 2 to 4 weeks
  • Cervical Screening: 6 Weeks
Why are my results not visible through online services?

Test results are only visible in online services after they have been reviewed by a clinician.

Furthermore, we can only control the visibility of tests our clinician’s request. If you are looking for results request by a clinician at the hospital, please contact them directly.

My test results are back but you have not contacted me?

We will only contact you if you need a follow up.

Can I view someone else’s test results?

Yes. Provided you have a valid legal reason to view them. These are:

  • Written consent
  • Parent/Guardian of a child
  • Lasting pawer of attorney for health and welfare
  • Primary carer for an adult unable to consent
