You are at higher risk of prostate cancer if:
- You are over 50
- You are black and over 45
- Your Dad or Brother has had prostate cancer.
Black men are twice as likely to get prostate cancer as other men. If you have mixed Black ethnicity, you may also be at higher risk. Because Black men have double the risk of prostate cancer and develop it younger, we strongly recommend talking to your GP about having a PSA blood test from the age of 45.
