Home Visits

Home visits are only for those who are housebound or too ill to come to surgery. Children who are feeling poorly can safely be brought to the surgery where they can be more fully assessed on our well equipped premises.

If possible please try to telephone before 10:15 if you require a home visit. You will be asked to give a brief description of the problem. This will give the GP time to look through the visit requests and prioritise each one.

A doctor may phone you back as it may be that your problem can be dealt with by telephone advice, or that it would be more appropriate to send a GP or nurse, or indeed arrange a hospital attendance. Please remember that several patients can be seen in the practice in the time that it takes to make one home visit. There are also better facilities for examining and treating patients at the Health Centre.

To ask about home visits, please contact us on our dedicated home visits line, 01332 344 366.
