We are receiving an unprecedented volume of calls every hour of every day. We are doing our very best to handle these as quickly and efficiently as possible. We are aware that patients are getting stuck in our telephone queue for long periods but we ask for your patience and understanding. Please do not verbally abuse our staff, they are doing the very best they can to assist you.
Please use our website for any sick note requests, test results or general queries to ease the pressure on the Appointments telephone lines.
It has also come to our attention that patients calling before 18:30, but still being in the queue after 18:30 are not having their calls answered.
We close at 18:30 and all new calls are diverted to 111 but we apologise if you have been affected by this problem with the queueing system and we will work to resolve it as soon as possible.
We are working on improving the phone system as a whole.
