 Dr James Daniells

I qualified from Birmingham in 1985 and completed post graduate training in Derby and London. I joined Wilson Street in 1990 and haven't looked back.Work interests include joint injections and drug/alcohol problems but I consider myself a generalist first and foremost. Outside work I am a passionate angler. I am lucky enough to be tolerated by a wife and 2 teenage children.

I enjoy all aspects of general practice and am very proud of the high quality service we provide here. I live in Derby with my husband and 2 sons who are all sport mad and Derby County supporters.I exercise regularly and would encourage you to do so too to stay healthy.

Dr J Nuttall

 Dr Jayne Nuttall

I grew up locally near Mansfield and qualified in London in 1987. I have been a GP since 1991 initially in Kent but moved to Derby in 1999. I live in Derby with my husband and teenage twin sons. I enjoy working at Wilson Street. I especially like looking after patients over a long period and getting to know them and their families. I hope to stay here until I retire. I feel proud of what Wilson Street achieves and hope you share those feelings - if not - let us know!

I have been a GP since 2004 and a Partner at Wilson Street since 2006 where I hope to stay until I retire.I am very proud of our surgery and the care we provide. I work six sessions a week which allows me time to enjoy looking after my patients but also time at home with my husband, step daughter and daughter born in 2010. I am a trained Acupuncturist and I perform minor surgery. In my spare time I enjoy music, reading and keeping fit. I attend a weekly dance class.

 Dr Drew Smith

Originally from the west coast of Scotland, I qualified from Dundee University in 2007. I began my medical career there before relocating to Derbyshire in 2009. I started GP training in 2011 with my first placement being at Wilson Street. I returned for my final year of training in 2013 and took up Partnership on completion of my training in August 2014. I have particular interests in Cardiology, Dermatology, Minor Surgery and Joint Injections.

Beyond my work at Wilson Street, I am also a Specialty Doctor in Dermatology and work for Southern Derbyshire Clinical Commissioning Group (SDCCG).

 Larry Higgs

 Dr Larry Higgs

Originally from the Cotswolds, I now call the East Midlands my home, having moved here to study medicine and never leaving! I was lucky enough to join Wilson Street as a trainee in 2008 and hoped to remain as a partner, but it was not to be, and after completing training I worked in another local practice, Alvaston Medical Centre, for a little over four years. However, I am thrilled to be back at Wilson Street, as I believe it offers the highest in clinical excellence.

I work full time at Wilson Street, and also do one session a week for the out-of-hours GP service. I am a GP Trainer and am also interested in palliative care and medical acupuncture, although not currently practicing. I live in Nottingham with my wife and three young children.

Our practice is a training/teaching practice. Our registrars are fully qualified and have a great deal of hospital experience. Registrars are attached to our practice for 12 months and usually become General Practitioners after completing their training. They are at all times encouraged to seek advice when required from the practice partners.

Occasionally a video recording may be made of the consultation for the purposes of the registrars ongoing personal training. This will only be undertaken with your prior knowledge and written consent.

As we are a training practice, the doctors occasionally have Medical Students sitting in on the consultations. You will be informed when you attend for your appointment if your GP has a student with them on that day. If you do not wish the student to be present during your consultation, please inform the receptionist
